School Catering

Catering provided by Billericay School

For some years now, governors and staff have been working hard to improve the quality, choice and presentation of the food offered to Billericay students. Food and vending have been under constant review and we are always looking for ways to improve the service and encourage students to make healthier choices.

Cashless Catering Information

We are pleased to inform you that the school will be installing a cashless catering system from 25 November 2013. The Trust-e Cashless Catering System provided by Nationwide Retail Systems Limited will now be used by our catering team. This System will reduce queues at lunch time, provide anonymous free school meals to pupils and allow monies to be pre-paid for dinner money. Further information on the system provided by Nationwide Retail Systems Limited can be found at

Registration will take place on the 13 and 14 November. The school requires the consent of at least one parent in order that biometric data for your child can be processed and I therefore ask parents to complete the consent form. Many thanks to all those who have returned the consent forms for enrolment for cashless catering. If you have not already done so, please return the form by Tuesday 12 November, as without your consent, your child will not be registered on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 November, and will therefore be unable to purchase food after 25 November.

This new system will allow us to improve our school meal provision, and will provide a more efficient and improved quality of service, as well as a number of clear benefits for students and parents. This system incorporates the latest technology and eliminates the need for students to carry cash. It also will provide anonymity for those entitled to free school meals.
