A and AS level Results 2009

Congratulations to all our Year 12 and Year 13 students who once again achieved an excellent set of A Level and AS Level results.

A Level Results

108 students sat A Levels and achieved an average point score per student of 312; equivalent to almost ABB (320 points). Of these, 40% were A & B grades.

The overall pass rate was 96.3%.

GCSE Results

We congratulate our Year 11 students on achieving excellent results in their GCSEs. They achieved an average point score per student of 372.49 which is an increase on last year.

Grades A*-C were 68%

Grades A*-C including English and Maths were 61%

Emily Wallington, who is battling leukaemia gained 8 A to C grade GCSE’s including English and Maths and 2 Sciences. She has shown immense courage and we are all very proud of her achievements.

The following students achieved straight A* and A grades- Alex Bear, Sam Bittante, Holly Carter, Kathryn Fletcher, Keira Gaynor, Alaina Morgan, Joe Stevens, Ruksar Uddin, Ben Walsh, Emma Willis, Billy Girdlestone and David Seber.

Ajab Durrani, 12 years old achieved a B grade in Dutch

Mrs Sue Hammond, Headteacher said, “we are absolutely delighted with this year's results. The students were very focussed and determined to do well. The staff are dedicated to the students achieving their best and these results are due to everyone working together and in the end all the hard work paid off.”
